How some Music in the Local Library helped me feel close to my late Grandfather.

My grandfather was an amazing person and I loved him very much, unfortunately he passed away years ago while I was in College.

He loved Classical Music and Opera (just like I do) and had a great collection of vinyl records, also, the best memories I have from him are associated with music.

Yesterday I visited the Local Library to pick up a book and to take a look at the books in the Store.

When I was leaving I heard a piano and singing (what seemed to be Opera or something similar), at the beginning I thought it was a recording but, after walking a few steps, I saw that it was a woman inside a meeting room.

I sat in a bench in the hallway and during some minutes I listened to her singing and playing the piano, the music and her voice were beautiful and I got caught in the moment.

I thought about my grandfather and how much he loved music, I thought about the moments I spent with him and how much I miss him; while I was sitting in that bench I felt him close to me and for that I’m grateful.

The Local Library has always been one of my favorite places and after this last experience I love it even more.
