Bookstagram: Crazy Rich Asians Movie Tie-In edition.
I enjoyed the Crazy Rich Asians movie and because of that I used some of my Cinemark Connections points to get the Movie Tie-In edition of the book (of course I’m adding it to my TBR list), I think the cover is beautiful and that’s why I’m sharing this pic.
What Movie Tie-In editions have you read lately and loved?

OMG!!!!! I’m so excited about this movie!!
Movies: Trailer of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
This is another book I plan to read before watching the movie.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
Reading Challenge: Next on my Reading List… Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
Reading Challenge Category: A book that’s becoming a movie this year.
Book selected: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith.
The Movie was released last February, after reading the book I’ll rent the movie. 🙂
Book Review: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Reading Challenge Category: A book at least 100 years older than you.
Book: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Format: Kindle and Audiobook
Rating: 5 of 5.
One of my Favorite Quotes: “How pleasant it is to spend an evening in this way! I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.”
Comments:
This book is a Classic and a most read, I found the narration by Rosamund Pike very engaging and I especially enjoyed it in the parts of Mr. Collins, Mrs. Bennet and Jane Bennet.
While listening the Audiobook I couldn’t help compare the book with the 2005 Movie adaptation (the one starring Keira Knightley), and to be honest even when I think the character of Lizzy is really well written, she wasn’t my favorite. There are some things that I found myself questioning about Lizzy after finishing the book (particularly some of her attitudes towards people like Darcy and even sometimes her friend Charlotte).
Overall I enjoyed this book a lot, I love how Jane Austen portrayed the characters and I would recommend it (specially this Audiobook version).
Currently Reading (and listening): Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
I have a big collection of Kindle books and I’m always looking for good offers on the Audiobook version (so I can I switch between reading and listening to the book).
Yesterday I found in Audible a version of Pride and Prejudice narrated by Rosamund Pike, currently I’m on chapter 7 and loving it.
Originally, Pride and Prejudice wasn’t included on my Reading Challenge, but I decided to make it part of the Book List.
Here’s a video from Audible about this Audiobook:
Enjoy your saturday!

Movies to watch on Christmas Day
Since I was a little girl I remember waking up early on Christmas Day, opening all the presents with my family and after having breakfast a Marathon of Christmas Movies would follow.
After some talking, my husband and I have chosen four movies to watch during Christmas Day, and in this post I want to share with you the final list (there’s Comedy, Romance and Action).
Jingle All the Way: My husband really likes the Terminator’s Movies, I enjoyed watching some of them, but what we both agree is that Arnold Schwarzenegger is incredibly funny in Jingle All the Way.
Christmas with the Kranks: We love watching Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis and Dan Aykroyd in the adaptation of the Book Skipping Christmas by John Grisham.
Love Actually: I absolutely love this movie, I’ve watched it several times because is a Christmas Movie with an amazing cast (including some of my favorites like Liam Neeson, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson and Colin Firth). My husband is not a big fan of the Movie, but well … one of his favorite actors is Liam Neeson (specially in action Movies like Taken).
Die Hard: Yes I know is an action movie, but my husband is a fan of the Die Hard Movies, to be honest I didn’t remember the movie very well but after watching the Trailer I understand why he mentioned it, the movie takes place during Christmas time, also Alan Rickman is in it (and I love Alan Rickman), so the movie made the cut for our list.
A very special mention goes to How The Grinch Stole Christmas (the Cartoon version), because even when originally wasn’t part of the final list, is a Classic and it has to be part of the Movies Marathon.
Have a great Christmas!
What I’ ve been doing during 2015 and the “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” Movie Trailer.
Hi everyone!
I know I haven’t been updating much and I’m sorry for that, but I’m here now and I’ll try to update more frequently.
During this year my focus has been on my favorite activity: Reading (there’s still many books in my TBR list, I need to update the list that is currently on this Blog and start some kind of reading schedule for 2016).
One of the things I found during the last year was a lot of Harry Potter’s Fanfiction and I’ve been spending a lot of time reading it (specially the one focused on Time Travel and the Marauders Era), some of my favorite Fanfiction writers are Shayalonnie and Colubrina (the last has a story called The Green Girl that I’ve read several times).
Another thing I’ve been doing this year besides reading, going to the library, deal with the day to day activities at home, travel to Portland (in a later post I’ll share some pictures from that trip) and travel to Cancun, was to increase the size of our iTunes, Amazon Video, Google and Ultraviolet Movies libraries and, as a result, my husband and I spend hours at night and during the weekends watching movies.
I love watching Movies based on Books, so I want to share with you the trailer of one of the Movies that I’m anxiously waiting for and that will be released next year: Fantastic Beasts and where to find them, based on J.K. Rowling‘s book.
I’m not sure if I’ll have the chance to post again before Christmas, so I would like to take the chance to wish all a really Happy Holiday!
