Today my husband woke me up with the news that Alan Rickman (one of my favorites actors) died at the age of 69, to say I was surprised and in complete shock is an understatement.
The first time I watched Alan Rickman’s acting was in “Sense & Sensibility” (the adaptation from Jane Austen’s book, with Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet), where he plays the role of Colonel Brandon, and immediately I became his fan.
Below is one of my favorite scenes from the movie (Colonel Christopher Brandon reading to Marianne Dashwood):
Besides his role in “Sense & Sensibility”, watching him like Severus Snape in “Harry Potter”, as Harry in “Love Actually”, as Hans Gruber in “Die Hard” and some others, shows his versatility as an actor and one of the reasons why he is admired by many.
Below are some of the most important scenes from his role as Severus Snape in the “Harry Potter” Movies.
His death is a great loss and he’ll be sorely missed.
If people want to know who I am, it is all in the work.
